Before you begin, turn off your computer and unplug it from the outlet.

    • Ensure the PC is physically unplugged before beginning any disassembly procedures!

    • Place the PC on a flat surface.

    • Turn the PC over so that the panel side faces upward.

    • Use your hand to lift the handle upward to access the hardware.

    • Locate the CPU fan.

    • Locate the fan header (where the cords connect the fan to the motherboard).

    • Unplug the fan header by pressing the tab on the side of the connector and pulling upward.

    • After disconnecting the fan from the frame, carefully lift the fan up.

    • Align the new fan over the four screws you previously removed.

    • Insert the new fan header into the socket.

    • Ensure the fan is correctly aligned with the four screw holes.

    • Replace and tighten screws using the Phillips #1 screwdriver.
