Introduction
Your Dell Latitude 5320 (Model 5320) relies on its solid‑state drive (SSD) to store the operating system, applications, and all user data. If your laptop is running out of storage, freezing unexpectedly, showing corrupted files, or failing to boot, the SSD may be damaged or malfunctioning and require replacement.
Common symptoms of SSD issues include slow performance, repeated blue‑screen errors, and missing files. If you’re unsure whether the problem is hardware‑related, review the Dell Latitude 5320 Troubleshooting Page before beginning this repair.
Replacing the SSD is a straightforward process that requires only basic repair skills. The SSD is secured with a single screw and lifts out at a slight angle.
This guide includes a step where you must apply gentle, controlled force to remove the SSD without bending or damaging it. Pay close attention to the caution note.
Before starting, completely power off your laptop, unplug all power sources, and back up any important data.
