Introduction
The RAM, or memory, helps the computer run programs and handle multiple tasks at the same time. If the laptop is running slowly, freezing often, or needs a memory upgrade, replacing the RAM can improve performance.
Before starting, make sure the laptop is completely powered off and unplugged from the charger. Work on a clean, flat surface and be careful when handling internal parts.

Locate the SIM card tray on the right side of the laptop.

Insert a SIM ejector tool or pin into the hole of the tray to eject it.

Remove the SIM card tray from the laptop.

Peel up the black tape securing the battery cable to the battery.

Use your fingernail to disconnect the battery connector.

Two clips secure the RAM module in place, one on each side. Using your fingers, spread the clips away from the RAM module.

To reassemble your device, follow the above steps in reverse order.
Take your e-waste to an R2 or e-Stewards certified recycler.
