What you need

  1. Dell Latitude 5300 Fan Replacement, Lower Case: step 1, image 1 of 1
    • Loosen the eight captive screws using Phillips #0 screwdriver.

    • The captive screws are attached to the base cover.

    • Pry the cover off of device using an opening pick while lifting the base cover.

    • Work your way around the device prying on all sides to release the base cover.

    • Lift away base cover revealing the interior.

    • Peel up the black tape securing the battery cable to the battery.

    • Use your fingernail to disconnect the battery connector.

    • Use your fingernails to disconnect the fan connector.

    • Remove the two Phillips #0 screws securing the fan to the chassis.

    • Remove the fan.
