Introduction
There are many reasons you may want to replace the battery in your Dell Latitude 5300, some of which may include: laptop not holding a charge, overheating, physical swelling of the battery, or unexpected shutdowns.
You may also want to replace your battery if it's approaching three years old or has a battery health below 40%.
Replacing the battery in your Dell Latitude is a simple task and should take less than 30 minutes and only requires two tools.

What you need

Locate the SIM card tray on the right side of the laptop.

Insert a SIM ejector tool or pin into the hole of the tray to eject it.

Remove the SIM card tray from the laptop.

Peel up the black tape securing the battery cable to the battery.

Use your fingernail to disconnect the battery connector.

Loosen the two captive screws securing the battery with a Phillips #0 screwdriver.

To reassemble your device, follow the above steps in reverse order.
For optimal performance, after completing this guide, calibrate your newly installed battery.
