Introduction
If your Dell Latitude 3440 HDD is not working properly e.g., apps taking too long to open, making clicking sounds, use this guide to replace the HDD.
The primary function of a HDD is to store and retrieve data. A faulty HDD will result in files being lost and failure of the computer to reboot.
What you need

Slide the battery latches outwards in opposite directions.

Remove the battery from the device.

Remove the SD memory card by pressing on the card to release it from the computer.

Remove the single 4.7mm screw from the access panel using a Phillips #1 screwdriver.

Remove the panel.

Remove the single 2.9mm screw from the hard drive using a Phillips #1 screwdriver.

Slide the hard drive out of the slot to disconnect it from the connectors.

Lift the tab to remove the HDD from the computer.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
