Remove the screws that secure the battery to the palmrest and keyboard assembly.

Remove the hard-drive cable from the routing guides on the battery.

Lift the battery off the palmrest and keyboard assembly.

Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds to ground the system board.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
