Introduction

This guide will be used to remove the mobile phone holder on the left side of the DJI Phantom 3 Standard Remote Controller. This will be useful for allowing the holder to remain steady on the controller and offer a support for camera setting on the drone itself.

Caution: The clamp holding the mobile device holder to the metal frame can be difficult to remove without a small level of force. Refrain from using excess force to avoid risk of damaging the part.

What you need

    • Remove the two 9 mm screws from the back of the phone mount using a 2 mm flathead screwdriver.

    • Grasp the base of the phone mount and unclamp the piece from the metal frame on the outside of the controller.

    • Remove the phone mount.
