Introduction
The ATH-M20x, ATH-M40x, ATH-M50x and a few other models have basically interchangeable headband covers and ear cushions. These are also relatively easy to get on and off the headphones.
If you don't want to buy a headband cover, make your own!
What you need

You can cover the old headband, or replace the faux leather.

Cut out the two pieces shown from fabric, leather, etc. T-shirt fabric or woven fabric both work, but I don't recommend knit fabric with elastane or spandex.

Sew the pieces right sides together, along one of the long edges.

Replace your old headband, or wrap this over the top.
