Introduction
This moderate difficulty-level guide will walk you through replacing a cracked hot plate inside of a Cuisinart DCC-3200P1 PerfecTemp 14-Cup Programmable Coffeemaker.
The hot plate is an essential part that helps your coffeemaker function to its best ability. Not only does it heat up water in the machine before the coffee beans are added, but it also allows the water to remain warm throughout the brewing process. A cracked hot plate will ultimately affect the quality of your brewed coffee due to the heat not being conducted properly.
Follow this guide to fix your cracked hot plate so that your coffee is brewed to perfection once again.
What you need

Unplug the device and flip it over so the bottom is facing upwards.

Remove the four screws circled in the image.

Remove the bottom panel.

Use a spudger to remove the red plastic tube off of the metal.

Repeat this for the other side of the silver pipe deeper in the device as shown in the second image.

Pick up the middle pipe and slide the hot plate out of its area.

Apply new thermal paste to the hot plate.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
