Introduction

This guide will demonstrate how to take apart the extension arm of the Cowin E7 headphones and replace the bracket on the inside. This guide may be useful if the extension arms are not fully extending or do not extend at all. For more information about the extension arms, please see our troubleshooting guide here.

What you need

Step 1 Extension Arm

Remove four screws from the extension arm using a TR Torx 10 screwdriver.

Step 2

Pull up on the metal clamp.
Squeeze the pins on the top and bottom of the side you are trying to remove.
This will allow the extension bracket to easily slide out of the metal clamp.

Step 3

Replace the damaged extension bracket with a new one.
To insert the new bracket, remember to squeeze the pins on the side that inserts into the metal clamp.
