Introduction

Use this guide to replace a dead or faulty battery. No difficult steps or tools are required for this process. The PowerShot Pro1 requires a lithium ion battery pack. It can use four kinds of lithium ion batteries: BP-511A, BP-511, BP-512, or BP-514.

1. Step 1 Battery
  Locate the battery compartment cover on the right hand side of the camera. The cover features the text: “CF/BATT.OPEN”.

2. Step 2
  There is an arrow beside the text. Using your hands, slide the cover in the direction of this arrow.

4. Step 3
  Pull the cover toward you. After doing so you will see the battery sitting inside the compartment.

5. Step 4
  Press the orange battery lock inside the compartment.
  
  Remove the battery.
