With the device fully assembled, hold the camera with both hands with the bottom of the camera facing toward you.

Place your right thumb on the sliding panel that is marked Card/Battery
Slide the panel to your right and you will hear a slight click. This is normal and you did not damage the device.

Remove your thumb from the Card/Battery panel and lift the panel 90 degrees.
The battery will eject slightly by the force of a spring.
Remove the battery and replace.
