Introduction

Go to step 1 ↓

Use this guide to remove, clean, and refit the dispenser drawer on a Candy washing machine. The dispenser drawer, detergent drawer, or soap drawer holds detergent and fabric conditioner, and residue can build up over time and wash onto clothes. This guide covers Candy machines with the drawer in the top-left corner of the front panel, so other models may have small differences.

What you need

Tools

      • Let any cycle finish, then turn off and unplug the washing machine before cleaning around the dispenser drawer.

      • Wear rubber gloves if the drawer, cavity, or door seal has moldy residue.

      • Locate the dispenser drawer in the top-left corner of the front panel.

      • This guide covers Candy machines with this drawer layout, and other models may have small differences.

      • Pull the dispenser drawer straight out until it reaches the stop.

      • Lift the front of the drawer while pulling it outward to release the small retaining clips.

      • Don't force the drawer past the stop, because the small clips can break if they bend too far.

      • Wipe inside the empty dispenser opening with a cleaning cloth and hot, soapy water.

      • Wring out the cloth so it is damp, not dripping, and don't pour water into the opening.

      • Don't use a brush inside the cavity, because it can fall down the hole and damage the washing machine.

      • Focus on the visible residue inside the drawer area, not the drain hole.
