1. Step 1 Prepare the washing machine

  Make sure the washing machine is idle, empty, and cool before cleaning the drawer or door seal.
  
  Unplug the washing machine before cleaning with a damp cloth.
  
  Wear rubber gloves if you don't want to touch detergent residue or mold.
  
  Find the dispenser drawer in the top-left corner of the Brandt integrated washing machine.

2. Step 2 Remove the dispenser drawer

  Pull the dispenser drawer out as far as it will go.
  
  Press down the small button latch at the back of the drawer to unlock it.
  
  Keep the latch pressed and slide the drawer straight out of the machine.
  
  Don't force the drawer if it catches, because the latch must be fully pressed before the drawer releases.

3. Step 3 Remove the conditioner tray

  Remove the conditioner tray from the dispenser drawer for better cleaning access.
  
  Set the conditioner tray aside so you can clean it separately and reinstall it in the same position.

4. Step 4 Clean the drawer and tray

  Dampen a cloth with hot, soapy water and wipe the dispenser drawer and conditioner tray.
  
  Use a spare brush to scrub away detergent residue, conditioner buildup, and mold.
  
  Scrub the corners, seams, and tray channels where residue collects.
  
  Rinse and wipe the parts until no loose residue remains.

5. Step 5 Clean the drawer cavity

  Wipe inside the dispenser drawer cavity with a hot soapy cloth.
  
  Clean the accessible top, sides, and back of the cavity where detergent residue can build up.
  
  Don't spray water into the cavity or flood the machine while cleaning.
  
  Rinse the cloth often and keep wiping until the cavity looks clean.

6. Step 6 Reinstall the dispenser drawer

  Reinstall the conditioner tray into the dispenser drawer if you removed it.
  
  Line up the dispenser drawer with the grooves in the drawer cavity.
  
  Gently slide the drawer all the way into the machine until it sits fully closed.

7. Step 7 Check the drum rubber

  Open the washing machine door and pull back the folds of the door seal with your fingers.
  
  Remove any debris or residue from the rubber seal.
  
  Check any drainage holes in the rubber seal and make sure they are clear.
  
  Clean the rubber seal with a hot soapy cloth.
  
  Use a spare brush to scrub dirty or mouldy areas if needed.
  
  The filter is on the front-right side of this washing machine.
  
  Only remove the filter after the wash has finished and the water supply is turned off.

8. Step 8 Run a cleaning cycle

  Plug the washing machine back in after the drawer, cavity, and door seal are clean.
  
  Select a 90 °C washing program, the hottest wash possible, or the Drum Clean option.
  
  Run the cycle with no clothes in the drum to flush and rinse the washing machine.
  
  Clean the dispenser drawer regularly to keep residue and grime out of future washes.
