Introduction
Here we show how to replace the battery in the Bosch IXO cordless screwdriver (2nd generation) when the power or battery duration is no longer given.
What you need
-
-
Loosen 4 screws size Torx T10. The screw size is identical for all four screws.
-
-
-
Loosen the nameplate on the bottom of the screwdriver and set it aside so that the right housing part can be removed in the next step.
-
-
-
-
The housing halves now lie loosely on top of each other. Lift the right housing half upwards and set it aside.
-
-
-
Heat the cables at both pole ends with a soldering iron and detach them.
-
-
-
Connect the side of the new battery with the white ring (positive pole +) to the red cable. Solder the blue cable to the other side (without the white ring).
-
To reassemble the device, follow the steps in reverse order

Is it okay to replace the battery with a new one that has a BMS (Battery Management System) on it? The BMS is in a form of small pcb strip, and that pcb is inside the protection jacket of the battery. TIA.
