Blackberry Bold 9000 Volume Toggle Replacement

Place your Blackberry facedown in front of you.

Press the cover release button on the bottom of your device. Lift and remove the back cover.

From the top, use your fingernail to lift the battery out.

Remove the SIM card.

Remove the six 7.0mm Torx screws securing the rear case to the rest of the phone.

Use the plastic opening tool to remove the rear case.

Lift out the motherboard assembly using the plastic opening tool, prying at all four sides of the device.

Try to remove from left to right, using caution with the audio jack on the right side of the device.

Locate the volume toggle on the main frame of the phone.

Using the spudger, push the toggle in from the outside and remove.

Place the new toggle in, using the pointed end of the spudger to attach the toggle to the upper and lower pins.
