What you need

Press the cover release button on the bottom of your device. Lift and remove the back cover.

Remove the six 7.0mm Torx screws securing the rear case to the rest of the phone.

Using the same plastic opening tool, lift out the motherboard assembly.

Remove the motherboard assembly from left to right, using caution near the audio jack on the right side of the device.

Using a spudger, pry the top of the metal casing off. There are two pins holding it in place; it should pop off easily.

Repeat to the bottom.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
