What you need

      • WARNING: Ensure the lawn mower won't turn on before starting this repair guide.

      • Remove the battery by pulling the release and sliding it out.

      • Pull out the safety key.

      • Remove the grass bag and fold the handles.

      • Turn the lawn mower onto its side.

      • Caution: Put on your safety gloves to protect your hands before working with the blade.

      • Lock the old blade in place by putting a block of wood (or equivalent) on the right-hand side, between the blade and the deck.

      • When loosening the bolt, the blade moves around. This block of wood ensures that it stays locked in place.

      • (The deck is the shell which houses the blade)

      • Using an adjustable wrench or a socket wrench, remove the bolt and washer in the old blade by rotating counter clockwise.

      • Remove the old blade.

      • Ensure there is no debris preventing the blade from rotating.

      • Insert the new blade by aligning it with the mounting holes.

      • Place the block of wood (or equivalent) between the blade and the deck on the left-hand side.

      • Insert the washer and bolt through the blade and tighten it into place by rotating clockwise.
