What you need

    • Ensure Bissell SpotClean ProHeat is unplugged

    • Position your hand vacuum so that you can see the text at the bottom saying "SpotClean ProHeat."

    • Remove the dirty water tank and the clean water tank that are located on either side.

    • Turn the device so that the bottom is facing up.

    • Remove the marked 19.7 mm screws using the Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the plastic covering.

    • Remove the plastic top located where the dirty water tank was previously situated.

    • Using the Phillips #00 screwdriver, unscrew the three screws located under the plastic cover that was previously removed.

    • Remove the plastic lip that was previously held by the screws.

    • Remove the 17.2 mm screws using the Phillips #00 Screwdriver to gain access to the water pump.

    • Use the tweezers to to squeeze together the prongs of the hose clamp.

    • With the clamp squeezed, pull the hose from the pump.

    • We found it easier to pull the clamp up the hose then pull the hose from the pump.

    • Pull the hose from the opposite end of the pump until it is fully removed.

    • Replace the previous non-working hose with a new working hose.
