Place the Bissell Spinwave pet upside down.

Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove both screws.

Remove the two secondary brushes.

Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the two screws from the battery panel.

Remove the battery cover.
If the battery cover is difficult to remove, use a spudger to gently lift the edge before attempting again.
Pick up the battery from the compartment.
