Introduction
Is your device having trouble holding a charge, even when plugged in? Use this guide to replace the battery of the Audio-Tecnica ATH-M20xBT.
The battery is an important part of your device. It is a rechargeable cell that provides constant voltage to drive internal components. Without the battery, the Audio-Tecnica ATH-M20xBT will not be able to perform properly.

Beware! This guide involves desoldering. Take care to avoid contact with hot solder, as it can cause burns or damage internal components. Ensure the device is powered off and fully disconnected from any power source before beginning work.
Note the part you are replacing is on the right side of the headphones.
What you need

Use a T5 Torx screwdriver to remove the four 7 mm screws securing the driver housing.

Gently lift driver assembly off with care not to strain the connected cables.

Use a small Phillips screwdriver to remove the three 7 mm screws from the white plate.

Carefully pop off the white plate.

To reassemble your device, follow the above steps in reverse order.
For optimal performance, after completing this guide, calibrate your newly installed battery.
Take your e-waste to an R2 or e-Stewards certified recycler.
