This guide will demonstrate how to replace the battery in the Asus Q500A.

Step 1 Battery

Flip device onto backside.

Locate the two sliding locks.
Slide the sliding lock 1 to the right to unlock it .
There should be a red marker to indicate that it is unlocked. This lock will stay unlocked until slid back into the locked position.

Slide the sliding lock 2 to the left to unlock it.
There will not be any indicator that it is unlocked. This lock will relock if you do not continue to push it to the left.

While the first and second lock are unlocked, slide the battery out to remove it.
When reinserting the replacement battery, make sure to slide sliding lock 1 back into the locked position. Otherwise the battery may come loose.
