Introduction
The foundation of every computer is a Motherboard. A motherboard is a green circuit board that houses the CPU (Central Processing Unit), RAM (Random Access Memory), graphic cards, storage, and other components. With a working motherboard, all parts of your Asus L406M are working together and communicating with each other properly. The Motherboard also allows you to connect your Asus L406M to your charging cable, USBs, headphones, SD cards, and HDMI and Display cables.
A faulty motherboard can lead to a lot of issues, including:
- Your laptop having no power, even if you have a working battery.
- Your laptop overheating and/or shutting down randomly.
- Your laptop's screen flickering or showing a black screen, even if your laptop's turned on.
- Your computer's ports not functioning or failing intermittently .
- The audio not playing or coming out distorted.
- The laptop's keyboard not responding.
Before you start, use the following troubleshoot guides to make sure the problem is with the Motherboard and not something else:
If the problems persist or is accompanied by the issues above, then it's highly possible that your motherboard is faulty. Use this guide to replace your motherboard.
Before you start: Make sure you turn off your laptop and disconnect it from any power source, USB, Flash Drives, SD card, and Display/HDMI cable
NOTE: Make sure your replacement motherboard is made for your Asus L406M! Different laptops and computers models use different motherboards! You must make sure the replacement is compatible with your CPU, RAM, and other components before you replace your motherboard.
