Introduction
Go to step 1 ↓Replacing the touchpad on an Altyk Le PC portable L16
What you need
-
-
-
Remove the 8 screws from the bottom of the PC (all screws are identical).
-
Slide an opening pick between the black plastic grille hidden behind the hinge cover. You can then slide it all the way along the plate to undo all the plastic snap fits.
-
-
-
Locate the battery connector.
-
Using plastic or ceramic tweezers, separate the connector from the motherboard using the corners of the connector as indicated in red.
-
Lift the battery wires to finish completely removing the battery from its connector.
-
-
-
-
-
Remove the 5 screws securing the battery. You can then grab the battery connector and lift it up to remove it.
-
You can now install the new battery and follow the steps in reverse order to reassemble the machine.
-
-
-
-
-
Remove the tapes on the touchpad and fold them onto themselves
-
-
-
-
To detach the touchpad from the palm rest, you must dissolve the adhesive. Do not hesitate to use a solvent (I personally use Essence F).
-
-
-
Slide an opening pick between the frame and the touchpad to unstick it.
-
Once the touchpad begins to lift, you can assist by sliding a second opening pick along the palm rest/keyboard area while sliding it all the way across.
-
Remove the adhesive residue and double-sided tape to make the surface perfect for the new touchpad. You can follow the guide in reverse order to reassemble the machine.

-
To reassemble your device, follow the instructions in reverse order.
