What you need

    • Heat the screen cover with an iOpener to soften the adhesive holding it to the display frame.

    • Insert a Jimmy under the screen cover to pry it open.

    • Use plastic opening picks to separate the adhesive.

    • Add more heat as needed.

    • Remove the plastic screen cover and set it aside.

    • Remove the four 3.5 mm screws holding the rear cover in place using a JIS #00 screwdriver.

    • Starting at the hinge side, insert the Jimmy between the rear cover and the display's frame.

    • Continue down the side of the phone, releasing clips as you go.

    • Work your way across the bottom and up the other side to separate the rear cover from the rest of the phone.

    • Disconnect the camera flex cable with the spudger.

    • Remove the camera from the display using tweezers.
