Follow this guide to replace or upgrade the earpads (aka ear cushions, headset cushions, or headphone cushions) on your AirPods Max.

What you need

  1. AirPods Max Earpads Replacement, Remove the earpads: step 1, image 1 of 3 AirPods Max Earpads Replacement, Remove the earpads: step 1, image 2 of 3 AirPods Max Earpads Replacement, Remove the earpads: step 1, image 3 of 3

    • The earpads are secured with magnets

    • Use your fingers to lift the earpads straight up and off the ear cups.

    • To install the earpads, place them into their cups—they should "snap" into place.

    • The right earpad goes on the cup with the Digital Crown and Noise Control buttons.
