    • Completely shut down and power off the laptop.

    • Make sure the charger is disconnected from the laptop.

    • Open the laptop to view the screen.

    • Carefully insert an opening pick between the bezel and the display, then slide it along the edge to release the securing clips.

    • Remove the bezel carefully, as it is delicate and can break easily if too much force is applied.

    • Remove the bezel and set it aside.

    • Carefully pull each adhesive strip tab located at the bottom of the left and right sides of the screen toward you until the entire strip is removed.

    • Each adhesive strip must be removed to replace the screen.

    • Carefully set the screen on top of the keyboard.

    • The screen is still connected to the laptop, so don't pull it off.

    • Remove the tape covering the 30-pin video cable connector.

    • Set the tape aside for reassembly.

    • Gently push the tip of a spudger under the metal buckle to unclip it, then swing it over the socket.

    • Hold the buckle and cable together and gently pull the connector straight out of its socket.

    • Grip the cable and buckle together and insert the connector fully into its socket.

    • Aligning the connector can be tricky. Reposition it as necessary and don't try to force it into the socket, or you may damage both the connector and its socket.

    • Remove the LCD.

Conclusion

To reassemble your device, get the bezel and align it with the laptop screen. Use slight force to secure the bezel throughout the whole parameter of the laptop. With this, the laptop will have a screen replacement.

Take your e-waste to an R2 or e-Stewards certified recycler.
