Introduction
ASUS Chromebook CX1400CN, in this guide you will be removing the touchpad from the device and replacing it. The touchpad is used as a cursor using the sensory of your fingers as the control.
Devices symptoms could be an unresponsive touchpad, an unmovable one, or the cursor acting sporadic on the screen which can be reviewed on the troubleshooting page.

Flip the Chromebook over so the bottom is facing up.

Remove eleven 5mm screws on the back of the Chromebook using a Phillips #1 screwdriver.
