Introduction

Tug the Spark Plug Cap from the top of the Spark Plug (between the OHV housing and the exhaust manifold) with your hands to remove it.

Make sure the engine is turned off and cool to the touch before completing this step.
Using a ¼ “ socket and Handheld Ratchet, loosen the three screws holding the Exhaust Manifold Heat Shield on.

Once the Heat Shield is removed, grip the Spark Plug’s threaded diameter with an Adjustable wrench and rotate counterclockwise.
Alternatively, you may use a 5/8" wrench or 5/8" deep socket along with a handheld ratchet.
Remove the Champion RC12YC Spark Plug from the device.
