Introduction
Use this guide to replace a dead battery in your 2017 Chevrolet Camaro key fob. The key fob uses a single CR2032 3-volt lithium coin battery to send a wireless signal to your car.
If your remote's range is weak, has a delayed response, or your dashboard shows a "Key Fob Battery Low" warning, it is time to swap the battery.

Insert the tip of the emergency key blade or a plastic opening tool underneath the edge of the circular CR2032 battery.
-
Gently pry upward to pop the battery out of its retaining clips.
-
Slide a new CR2032 3V lithium battery into the slot at a slight angle, pressing down until it clicks into place. Line up the front and back plastic covers of the key fob and press them firmly together until they snap shut.
