Having your vehicle struts crack, break, or simply stop working is a very common problem with cars today. Without working struts on the trunk of your car, it is difficult to open and close your trunk.
What you need

Begin by placing a support beneath the trunk that takes all the weight of the trunk.

Insert the flat head screwdriver under the clip, at the top of the strut, and lift the clip until it pops off completely.

Now, insert the flat head screwdriver under the clip, at the bottom of the strut, and lift the clip until it pops off completely.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
