Introduction
The tail lights might need to be changed multiple times in your vehicle's lifetime. This guide will help you replace a broken tail light bulb in your 2005 Ford Focus ZXW.
The tail light signals to other drivers if the vehicle is stopping, slowing down, or changing direction. A broken tail light can cause confusion for other drivers. Ultimately, this guide can help avoid receiving a ticket from the police or causing an accident.
Before beginning this repair, power down the ignition, place the car in park, and engage the parking brake.
What you need

Remove the two screws with the Phillips screwdriver, rotating counter clockwise.

Disconnect the harness from the bulb socket by pushing in on the tabs and pulling.

Repeat the last two steps to disconnect the second harness from the bulb socket.

Place the new bulb in the bulb socket.

Repeat this process to replace the second bulb.
