Turn the car off completely.

Open the hood and locate the spark plugs attached to the wires.

Check whether the engine is inline or V-shaped to identify the wire layout.

Grip the boot and pull it straight off the spark plug without yanking the wire.

Remove the old spark plug using a spark plug socket and ratchet wrench by turning counterclockwise.

Insert the new spark plug by hand to prevent cross-threading, then tighten it with a wrench to the recommended torque.
