Roku Indoor Camera 360 SE (CP1000X) - Camera (Tilt) Motor Replacement

Introduction

This guide covers removing the camera rotating (tilt) stepper motor (24BYJ48 461D) from the camera head assembly.

Prerequisites

Complete the Back Panel Replacement guide first.

What you need

Small Phillips screwdriver

Tweezers

Step 1 - Disconnect the tilt motor plug

Locate the tilt motor's 5-pin connector on the main board (blue box) under the motor connected to the rotating base (red box). Using tweezers or a plastic spudger, pull the plug straight out. Do not pull by the wires.

Step 2 - Remove the tilt motor screws

The tilt motor is held in place with 2 screws inside the camera head bracket. Remove both screws.
