Roku Indoor Camera 360 SE (CP1000X) - Base Assembly Replacement

Introduction

This guide covers removing the base assembly from the outer housing. The base assembly is a plastic platform that contains the main board (DF3-MCU-501-V2.3), the pan motor (24BYJ48 461C), base gears, and the camera FPC connector.

Prerequisites

Complete the Back Panel Replacement guide first.

Step 1 - Squeeze the case outward

With the back panel removed, gently squeeze the outer case walls outward. The base assembly sits inside the housing held by friction and plastic clips.

Step 2 - Lift the base assembly out

Once the case walls are flexed outward, the base assembly will come loose. Carefully lift it out of the housing.

Be careful - the camera assembly is still attached via the FPC ribbon cable and mounting bracket.
