Background

The V-Moda Crossfade M-80 is a metal-built on-ear headphone. The V-Moda Crossfade M-80 (model number: M-80) was released in August 2011. These headphones are used to be paired with any device that has a 3.5 mm stereo mini plug to audio devices, mostly used with professional-grade stereo equipment. These headphones can provide connection to devices such as sound tables, tablets, laptops, MP3 players, etc.

These headphones have a steel frame construction with 40 mm dual diaphragm drivers. The headphones are designed to attach to a device with a 3.5 mm stereo plug. The V-Moda Crossfade M-80 uses ear noise isolating design and Kevlar reinforced cable to reduce coiling and promote durability.

There is only one on-ear model in the Crossfade lineup (M-80). It was introduced as a more compact alternative to the larger, over-ear LP and M-100 models. The M-80 model features the 40 mm drivers that are designed to deliver clear miss, controlled bass response as well as detailed highs. The all-metal construction and reinforced headband improve the durability while on-the-go, and the compact design enhances portability.

The M-80 was made with respect to passive noise isolation and a smaller footprint, making it the appropriate choice for portable use. It also includes V-Moda’s customizable metal shields, allowing consumers to personalize the appearance. The detachable cable system improves longevity and allows for easy replacement if damaged.

Identification

The V-Moda Crossfade M-80 has a compact on-ear design with recognizable hexagonal metal earcup shields. The V-Moda logo is prominently displayed on the outer metal plates. The headband is reinforced with a flexible metal core wrapped in durable material. The model name “M-80” is typically printed on the inside of the headband or on the original packaging.
