Background
The Sennheiser HD 550 are over-ear closed-back headphones, released in 2025.
The HD 550 are easy to drive with 150 ohms transducers that are angled slightly to the rear. The headphones has a frequency response of 6 Hz to 39.5 kHz. The HD 550 is built with the 500-series chassis and are open-back with acoustically transparent dust covers. The headphones are made out of plastic, with a metal grill. The headphones has a detachable 2.5 mm cable, terminating into a 3.5 mm plug.
