The Tiptronic 2020 (and also the 2010) was manufactured by Pfaff from 1999. Unlike the cheaper 2010 model, the Tiptronic 2020 features Pfaff's IDT system (Inter-Differential-Transport). The IDT system allows the fabric to be transported not only under the needle plate, but also from above by a lowerable feed arm. This makes it easier to sew fine, slippery, and stretchy fabrics.
