Background
The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Tablet (3rd Gen) is a 13-inch laptop computer that can switch between tablet, laptop, and canvas, like a Microsoft Surface Pro. Thinkpad is a line of business-oriented laptop computers and tablets designed and sold by Lenovo, and previously IBM. Lenovo Group Limited (shortened to Lenovo) is a Chinese technology company. Thinkpad products are generally known for their black, boxy designs which were initially modeled on the concept of a Japanese Bento lunchbox, which only reveals its contents when opened. The Thinkpad line was developed by IBM and first released in October 1992. During the 1990s, the Thinkpad line became a large success for IBM. The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Tablet (3rd Gen) was released in 2018 and its model number starts with 20KJ.
The tablet runs on Windows 10 and includes a fine pen stylus, a keyboard cover, and Thunderbolt 3 support. The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Tablet (3rd Gen) features dual Intel Thunderbolt 3 ports, which support fast data speeds and versatile video output. The computer includes several security features including Windows Hello which is integrated with the fingerprint reader and optional infrared (IR) camera.
The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Tablet is designed for information technology (IT) professionals and administrators with Microsoft AutoPilot, which offers business preloads. According to a review of the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Tablet by PCMag, the tablet features a terrified 3K touch screen and a first-class keyboard, but the battery life could be better and the touchpad is slightly bulky.
The system is notable for being one of the oldest supported device that can officially run Windows 11. The only device in the X1 Tablet line to do so.
