Background and Identification

Incubator analyzers (also called incubator testers) are used to test the functionality of infant incubators. Their use in a clinical setting is often part of routine performance and safety testing. These analyzers can be an important tool for biomedical technicians tasked with repairing and performing preventative maintenance on incubators.

Incubator analyzers are designed to record multiple measurements, including relative humidity, airflow, sound, and temperature. Later model analyzers are capable of taking simultaneous temperature readings at multiple points within an incubator.

Some incubator analyzers can be used to test open infant warmers as well as closed, forced-convection incubators.
