Background and Identification
The Shampaine 4900B/E is a battery-powered, hydraulically positioned, full function major surgical table. Table positioning is controlled by eight solenoid valve assemblies mounted in the base, remotely operated by a hand-held control pendant. The table and leg extension surfaces are fabricated from electrically-conductive, radiolucent panels. Each table section has a cassette channel that can accommodate X-ray cassettes up to 14’’ x 17’’ (356 x 432 mm). The table is portable and can be moved in any direction on four ball bearing swivel casters. Automatic self-stabilizing floor locks compensate up to 1/2’’ (13 mm) for un-level floors, eliminating stability problems.
