Background
The Dell Inspiron 1427 is a personal laptop computer. As part of the Dell 1400 series, it was marketed as a budget-conscious option for on-the-go users. Released in early 2009, it was a consumer-focused option with a slightly smaller screen.
It was discontinued soon after, as Dell ended the Windows Vista era and focused on models compatible with Windows 7.
Identification
It features a black 14” cover with a touchpad and power button in the mid-top section of the keyboard. The right side features an optical drive compatible with CDs or DVDs, two USB connectors, and an AC adapter connector. The left side features a VGA monitor connector, an Ethernet port, two high-power USB connectors, an IEEE 1394 connector, a PCI Express card slot, a memory card reader, and a microphone connector.
