Background

The Coby Kyros MID7024 was developed by Coby Electronics Corporation and released in 2011. The built-in entertainment system allows you to enjoy videos as well as listen to music on the 1080p 7-inch screen. The Android 2.2 operating system makes this device a powerful and useful piece of equipment. The Coby Kyros MID7024 has a built-in 4GB of memory with a microSD card slot that allows you to upgrade the memory to 32GB. There are a number of different Coby Kyros models but the MID7024 can be identified by the 7-inch screen touch screen. The device is relatively inexpensive with key, tablet features (HDMI output, memory expansion, and front facing camera) but the battery life is poor and the screen responsiveness often malfunctions. Overall, the device has some excellent features offered at a reasonable price but the low cost comes with several potential issues.

Identification

The Coby Kyros MID7024 model number (MID7024) is printed on a label on the back of the device. The Kyros logo is printed in white near the top center of the back case. It was primarily sold in a black and silver color scheme, though some limited editions were available, including black and red and the rose pink shown on this page.
