The Braun ThermoScan Ear 6022ear thermometer is a portable handheld thermometer primarily designed for use on children, but it can also be used on adults. The thermometer allows for fast, safe and precise measurements. It is used by placing it in the ear and the ergonomic tip of the thermometer prevents the thermometer from causing injury to the ear drum.

The Braun ThermoScan functions by measuring infrared heat generated by bodily tissues. The Braun ThermoScan is placed in the ear until it detects that an accurate measurement is taken. The Braun ThermoScan 6022 is an older model that was discontinued on November 1,2015 beacuse it was replaced by newer Braun ThermoScan 7.

The Braun ThermoScan is a white, plastic, handheld thermometer with digital display. Above the digital display the earpiece is a conelike structure that is designed to be warmed to body temperature and fit comfortably in the human ear. The screen contains information such as temperature and is easy to read with few buttons.
