Background and Identification

The Black and Decker B2200 is a breadmaker produced by Black and Decker, an American manufacturer of power tools, accessories, hardware, home improvement products, and fastening systems.

A bread making machine or breadmaker is a home appliance used to turn raw ingredients into baked bread. Breadmakers consist of a bread pan (or “tin”) at the bottom of the machine with one or more built-in paddles, mounted in the center of a small oven. The oven is generally controlled by a built-in computer using settings input via a control panel. Bread machines include different cycles for various kinds of dough, including white bread, whole grain, European-style or “French,” and dough-only.

The Black and Decker B2200 includes ten preprogrammed settings that can be used to prepare loaves of bread or jams. It also features a 13-hour delay-bake timer so users do not have to be present to bake bread. It can bake 1.5- or 2.0-pound loaves. The B2200 model includes a rapid bake function, a keep warm option, and a crust control feature. The breadmaker also has a viewing window and a cool-touch exterior to keep users safe from burns. The B2200 model includes a white plastic body and the name “Black&Decker” in bold black capital letters above the machine’s digital screen and an array of buttons.
