Background

The Beyerdynamic DT 48 are over-ear closed-back professional headphones, initially released in 1937. The headphones features multiple nominal impedance version suited for different use cases and multiple variations and model revisions. The DT 48 are the first dynamic to been made, and is the first headphone model offered by Beyerdynamic.

The DT 48 are closed-back headphones designed for monitoring and recording with 12 dB of passive noise cancellation. The headphones has seen many revisions and stayed in production for 75 years until 2012, with some impedance variants including 5, 25, and 200 ohm, different colors, and more.
