Background

Released in March 2021, the Beoplay HX are wireless over-ear headphones from Danish audio brand Bang & Olufsen. They support active noise cancellation and Bluetooth connectivity, including multipoint pairing, and were marketed as a more portable, lightweight alternative to the Beoplay H95.

The headphones are made from a combination of aluminum, plastic, leather, and fabric materials, featuring a fold-flat design for easier transport. At launch, the Beoplay HX retailed for around $499 and is offered in the following colors: Gold Tone, Timber, and Black Anthracite.

Identification

Bang and Olufsen Beoplay Hx Headphones are full-size over-ear headphones with oval, leather-wrapped ear cups featuring smooth, flat outer shells with thin metal rings outlining the ear cups, and a narrow, padded headband with metal adjustment arms. Like most of their other headphone models, the Bang and Olufsen logo can be found etched into the metal of both ear cups.

The serial number for the Beoplay HX can be found between the housing and the left ear cushion.
