The Acer TravelMate P255-MG was a laptop created by Asus in late 2013-early 2014 and discontinued later due to low sales. The laptop was featured in the series of the TravelMate P2 laptops made by Asus, and it replaced the previous Acer TravelMate P253 laptop as a successor. The TravelMate P255-MG was the last laptop of the TravelMate P200s era of Asus laptops. The most notable features of this device is its dedicated AMD GPU (graphical processing unit) giving the device better graphics performance than its previous model and a comfortable ergonomic keyboard for typing.

The relative price of this device was $800 USD in 2013, depreciating to $50 USD. The TravelMate P255-MG, however, experienced high temperatures under load and high energy consumption due to the dedicated graphic processor. The batteries of this device was the most common point of failure due to aging. This device was intended for office workers and gamers for its main feature of efficient graphics processing.

The TravelMate P255-MG is featured with a 15.6 inch screen. The laptop came in a Black and a Silver color variety. The most notable features of this device is its “Acer” labels and its left leaning mouse pad. The model number and other specifications are listed on the back plate with multiple stickers. There are also 2 removable plates on the back allowing for repairs and replacements of parts for the battery and motherboard.
