Background

The AKG K92 are professional close-back over-ear mid-range headphones, released c. 2015 as the senior sibling in the KX2 series with the two juniors the AKG K72 and K52.

The AKG K92 are marketed for professional studio, mixing and recording usage. However, the headphones features a prominent warm V shape tuning, with a with emphasis on the lower mid frequencies and high treble with not as sharp peaks and valleys compared to the K72. In its series, the K92 has the widest frequency range from 16 Hz to 22 kHz. Just as its siblings, the headphones are low impedance and easy to drive.

The headphones has a metal frame with a self adjusting headband, and plastic cups, all in gold accent. The K92s has a 3m fixed cables, terminated in a 3.5 mm stereo plug.
